Solo Note is a native macOS notebook for work that should never leave your Mac. Every keystroke stays local. Every byte is encrypted at rest. Nothing is ever uploaded — not even to us.
Solo Note was designed for notes that need to stay yours: client files, research, drafts, journals. It is offline by default, sandboxed, and encrypted on disk — so the contents of your notebook can't leak to a server, an analytics SDK, or anyone walking past your Mac with a USB drive.
Every note, block, tag, and image is sealed with AES-256 before it touches your drive. Copy the database off your Mac and you get nothing.
The app has no network code. The sandbox denies both client and server networking — no analytics, no crash uploads, no round trips.
SwiftUI shell with AppKit where it counts. Universal binary, fast, and at home on your Mac.
Paragraphs, headings, lists, todos, callouts, syntax-highlighted code, tables, quotes, dividers, images — sixteen block types, all rearrangeable.
Quick Open searches every note's title and body the moment you start typing — ranked best-match-first.
Bundle an entire notebook into a single password-protected .solonote file. Take it with you; share it without giving up its contents.
Solo Note doesn't ship with a server. It can't talk to one, even if you wanted it to — the App Sandbox entitlement file denies outbound networking. The same goes for contacts, camera, microphone, location, and AppleEvents.
